Default Good Morning

I am new to the forum but not to Jaguars, I have had and restored a 65 XKE series 1 coupe many years ago and miss the old girl, there is something about a Jag that is magic. I have many other exotic cars, SPF GT40 MK1, Ferrari 208 twin turbo, 1980 LP400s series 2 low body Lamborghini Countach, 1964 Porsche 356SC and the (new to the herd) 85 XJS. I have always liked the body style of the XJS and hope to have some fun with the car. I am a retired electronic tech and looking forward to digging in to some of the problems that this car has. Suggestions on what to look out for in this model please chime in.

Welcome to the forum p2164, sounds like a nice collection. Why not check the FAQ in the XJS forum, you will also find some great guys to help you out.

An '85 XJS will need lots of tender loving car, but then, so do your other cars, I am sure, especially the Ferrari.

I heard that Ferrari sell you the engine, then give you the car to take it away in.

The Ferrari name is just that, a name, normally the people who own them are not mechanical type people. I have bought, repaired and sold many of them through the years. This car has no great value to anyone but me as it very modified from the original. I evaporated some exhaust valves 8 years ago and just now putting the motor back in.

Does Chad Bolles frequent this forum? I have known him for many years.
