I am new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. Our Jag is a 2001 XK8 which has about 16,000 miles and hardly ever seen the rain far less snow even though we live half the year in Toronto, Canada!! The other half of the year we enjoy living in Naples, Florida which is a much better home for such a beautiful car.


The biggest single issue we have had with this car is with batteries which are often affected by longer periods of storage (even with a trickle charger). We have also had some recent issues with a leaking water pump and ABS sensors all of which has prompted me to learn a lot more about the car and hence my interest in joining the forum.

 

Welcome to the club! You will find the forum is a constant go to, and a wealth of information. These cars are very sensitive to low battery issues, there is I believe 5 computers all tied together in them, mine is a daily driver so I've been fortunate about low voltage isssues, but did just replace mine along with a bunch of other preventative work. But the work and the $$$ is worth it to drive such an incredible machine...

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
