Default Got a 2012 Jag XJL

It is 2012 XJL Portfolio, ~35K miles. Driven ~4K miles per year and serviced at dealership at least in the young days. Cosmetically, it is like new, mechanically, there are no issues/concerns to address immediately.

As you can see there is no front number plate holder installed, however, I am given a frame for this purpose. I am a handy man type. How should I proceed to install this

Welcome to the forums TheJagued,

Front number plate holders are normally fitted with self tappers or rivets after drilling suitable holes. I have mine (standard European rectangular) fixed with 3M double sided tape but this may not be suitable for the weight/size of a US holder and plate. If you are going to drill, check first for the location of any electrical harness (e.g. for the parking aid) fitted behind the front bumper.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.
