Thumbs up Got lucky-found an XJ, found this Forum

I get a thrill just from looking at my silver 2004 VDP parked in the drive, not to mention floating with aplomb at triple digit speeds through the nearby Arbuckle Mountains. Hey fellow cat enthusiasts, I hope you're all doing well and I hope I'm posting in the right place for new members. Few experiences rival that of being seen piloting one of these big cats; it really classes up a spare like me. Please allow me to join your ranks. -2004 silver Vanden Plas, K&N air filter (hopefully lifting me above 300hp), aftermarket mats, horrid Nittos, black interior, not LWB. Sulphur, Oklahoma

BigCat:
I think everyone of us can certainly relate to the thrill factor you describe. It really is a most pleasurable car-owning, and car-driving experience. Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum! Cheers,
Scott

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.

Red face Pack of Kittens

Guys I've gotta tell you about a recent trip to Europe. We drove down to Fussen / Hohenschwangau to visit Ludwig II's much admired "Schloss Neu Schwanstein". Parking our car in the lot by the Tram stop, we observed what looked like half a hundred Coventry Cats of all years and models from all over. It was cool to see all of the different license plates. I also saw, around midnight in Lille, France, a green '07 or so XJR prowling menacingly through town. We also followed a green '98 XJ through Rotterdam or Utrecht somewhere; he had retro-fit suctioned a GPS on the windshield. It looked cool. -I will talk to you later (Jaguars are just cool. Is it because of that cat leaping off the hood?)

The attempt to rehab the hood open switch failed. Still getting the message. I'll try jumping the connectors next.

BigCat,

I'm new also and am really enjoying my Jaguar...

I have a great friend that is from Sulphur... His dad was the principle of the highschool back in the 70's.

Good luck with that car of yours.

Hey Craig, I'll bet your back seat guests really dig the legroom. I wish mine were the LWB but oh well. I've solved the "hood open" issue by jumping the leads inside the connector, and boy what a relief! No more horn blasts and unsecure parks. And are you friends with Scott?

I share your love of Jags. We recently purchased a 2004 VDP to replace our 1999 VDP. Very nice car, but seems to be less of a Jaguar than the older version. I also wish it was a LWB.
