Default Got my Jag

Hey everyone! Just signed up for this form. I just picked up a new ultimate black / black XK. My first Jag and I gotta say, put about 150 miles on it and the car is just insane. I picked it up from the dealer and went right to the tinting place and got 35% tints done on the sides and the back windows. I also took the badges off in the back, car looks a bit wider.

I know people do some crazy things with their cars. What are some of the cool things you guys did to your XKs?

I was looking into a few things for it like maybe the XKR lower grill (since mine is black, and it's silver on the R) maybe someone who is murdering out their R would want to swap.

Also, I'm not really sure what type of aftermarket things people do to their XKs.

Shoot me some ideas! I live in the New York City area, may make it easier or harder to get certain things.

-Joey

(Can I post stuff like this? Didn't see anything in the forums rules.)

xks.com (XKs Unlimited) has a great assortment of aftermarket stuff for XKs (hence the name...lol). Steve is the salesman I work closest with for stuff for my 76 XJ12.

Welcome to the forums...congrats on your ride...and we're all waiting anxiously for pics!!!

welcome to the forums malx! I've seen an xk8 coupe with the trim pieces professionally removed, it looked nice. you can do LED tail lamps (if you don't have the '07), theres an aftermarket kit for that. Oh yah, the exhaust is another good modification... several choices there, all better sound and a little better gas mileage from what i've read.

What year XK do you have?

Thanks everyone for the welcomes. I have a 2010, black / ultimate black with ivory stitching. I love the car, looks sick. We don't have lots of XKs in my area at all. I was driving on the highway and causing traffic, and was waxing it at my friends car wash yesterday and people were pulling in the lot to look at it. It's not MUCH different looking than the previous years (07, 08, 09) so I guess this kind of stuff happens with all of those years too.

It's slower than my Cayman but has tons of road presence. I'm loving every minute of it and all of the little gadgets. I plan on keeping this for a while and not putting much mileage on it.

yikes, a 2010... nice. They aren't common in many cities, but draws looks wherever they go. Even though i've seen more examples than most, I still stare and take a few extra moments to admire the lines. You're a lucky guy.

Thanks man! I love it more than I love myself. It's such a nice car. I'm sure in a few years something even nicer will replace it

Hi Jamey,

Not sure how much you follow but I'm about to do a whole bunch of stuff to the car.

20" portfolio wheels.
Aluminium door sills
Rear Vallence
Front Lip
Side Skirts
Pedals
Painting my calipers black.

I already have tints and the chrome R grill.

So when the car is all done, I'll take pics and post them here.
