Hi,
I am a long time XK8 owner from Orange County, CA. I've used the forums as a resource for quite a while and recently joined, hoping I can contribute. We have almost 100K miles on our 1998 convertible that we have owned since 2001. The car has been fairly trouble free; however we did recently replace the fuel pump and chain tensioners. I'm am engineer and a motor head, and I like to tinker. I'm looking forward to learning from you knowledgable folks (and will be crying out for help when I get in over my head).

You must know the XK8 inside out after eleven years! Good to hear it's been largely trouble free and you've replaced two of the main failure items.
You probably already know your way to the tech sections but if not, follow this link XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and to post your own contributions.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
