Default Greetings to Everyone

My name is Nick Mueller. I live in Woodbridge, Virginia, USA. I have a 1997 XK8 4.0 Coupe in Carnival Red with 109K on the odometer. Her name is Juliet and my wife is a little jealous, though she needn't be. I'll post a picture soon. The signature picture I posted is a van mocked up with camera equipment to illustrate my professional background as a television director of photography. I've had my XK8 since April 2007. She has been a solid performer and required minimal maintenance. I have rectified most of the engineered flaws which have been cited on these earlier vintage XK8's. At this time, I have no intention of selling this car; though I have given some thought to upgrading to an '03 XKR. However, I'm rather taken with her, so there's no change in the wind as of now.

I am not a mechanic. But I do know how to check and change oil and my air filter. I have done a fair amount of reading about the flaws engineered into my car and the fixes required. Thank you in advance for providing such an excellent service and information source for our community. I look forword to meeting and exchanging experience with all of you.

A very warm welcome to you Nick.

When you get chance, post up the pics, it is nice to see the older ones that have been cared for properly still running around.

Enjoy the car and the forum.

Hello, Mike,
Some of us prefer to call those "design flaws" Personality Quirks. LOL
Really though, some of those things serve to make these cars interesting. Otherwise, if one wants boring, one could drive a CUBE.
Welcome from ElinorB.

A late 'Welcome' to Jaguar Forums from me Nick.

I've been away driving my Jaguar across Europe and had no internet access.
