Greetings from The Far East
Hi Guys (and Gals)
My name is Mike. I live in Bangkok, Thailand. My parents had always been a Jaguar fans. My mother which really is not much of a car person loves only 2 cars (I think), a Jaguar E type convertible and the 308 model XJ. Me? I'm a gearhead. I often said "my first love comes with wheels, not heels". I currently own a Mercedes Benz S class (W220), A Volvo XC 90, and my pride and joy a Lotus Esprit S4s. Last year, a friend of mine at a Jaguar dealer told me he had a mint conditioned XJ8 LWB for sale. It was a one owner with 80,000 Km (50,000 miles) on the clock. Full service history and records. It was (is) beautiful. I bought it for my mother on my birthday while she was on vacation in Europe. I surprised her by picking her up at the airport in her new ride. The look on her face when she saw it was priceless. I will try to keep the Jag in the best condition possible while trying to upgrade and modernize something .MP3, USB, Ipod capability is top on the list now. The CDC just died. I'm thinking about changing the wheels and tires to 18" as well. BTW, I already had the car fully serviced front to back, top to bottom so the essentials are done. Now it's time to play. If anyone have any good advice for me, please share. Thank you in advance.

What a good guy you are to buy mum a large toy for you to play with. I'd do the same!
If your interested in large cars, go to 420G Restoration and see what you think.
Enjoy your drive.

Welcome, Mike, to a new member from a new member.
I'm in Bangkok also hoping to acquire an XJR shortly, seen two, can't decide which is nicer. Might have to buy both!
