Default Greetings from Finland

Hi,

I already posted a little info into a parking aid thread (it was my first post),
but maybe you don't mind if I tell same things here too.

So I bought my first Jaguar 8 months ago, x-type 3.0 sport awd automatic 2001 model. Satnav, phone system, parking aid, H&R -35mm lowering springs, 225/40/18 tyres. So much fun to drive with it, especially now because of winter.

There have been few problems in the way too. First car failed ispection because rear bushings were loose. Dealer changed them as they installed block heater. Car passed inspection and was working good until december when engine check light turned on but dealer didnt find anything. Error code was saying System too lean (bank 1), also radiator started leaking. A couple of weeks later engine light turned on again, but this time I didn't took the car in a service, cause I was sure that the problem was same, too lean mixture. Light turned off after 3 days. Few weeks passed and light turned on 3rd time, I found the air leak on my own from IMT valves and after reading this forum I decided to change IMT valves o-rings by myself.
It took half an hour to change those o-rings(7euros per pair). I also found a English cars specialist who ordered a new radiator from England and the radiator was changed yesterday by the Jaguar specialist. Next things to do..oil levels check in trans and diff, brake discs and pads, leaking a/c compressor. Good thing is that there are not any visible leaks in trans or diff.

And forgive my bad english, cause it's not my native language.. :P

Default Winter tires

Original Jag rims with 215/45/17 friction tires. Or do you guys call those mud and snow tires? Anyway the ones without studs.

I would call them winter tires, meaning they are for snow conditions, but mud usually follows. Thanks. always wonder what people use. Can you tell me what brand of tire?

Roads are mostly pure or dry at winter time in sothern part of Finland where I live so I like snow tires as better. I think most people are using studtires here even those are louder and edores more roads.

My tires are Federal himalaya WS1. Cheap ones and probably not the best ones, but I have managed with those. I have been driving snow tires only few times before, so I don't have so much experience how different brands are behaving on road.
