Greetings-New member with turn signal/headlight issue
Hello all from Chicago, so excited to communicate with other jag lovers.
As of today, my 2000 XJ8L headlights cut off whenever i use the left or right turn signal, and may or may not cut back on after cutting off turn signal. I can get them back on with a slight toggle when turn signal is off. Any wisdom rained upon me would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum bayou1,
Hopefully this turns out to be an issue with the Steering Column Multifunction Switch wiring and not the switch itself.

Thanks for advice, was wondering if checking the wiring associated with turn signal was a simple task, i dont have very much experience in the electrical aspect of the car, but i am very much mechanically inclined.
You'll need the XJ Series 2000 Electrical Guide and the Service Manual (JTIS) extract on removing the Multifunction Switch.
You can download these from my MediaFire account by following these links:
XJ Series 2000 - Electrical Guide.pdf
JTIS - XJ8 - 2000 - Steering Column Multifunction Switch.pdf
The relevant section in the Electrical Guide is 09 (Exterior Lighting).
