Default Greetings and Salutations from the Ozzlefinch!

Hello all! I am a newbie to the forum, and to Jaguar automobiles. I recently purchased an X-Type and WOW! What a fantastic car! I am constantly fighting the wife over who gets to drive it. Perhaps it would be easier to by two?

I look forward to getting good advice and I hope to make meaningful contributions as well.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome to the forum, Ozzlefinch. Buying two is certainly one option My wife got a different car just so she wouldn't steal the Jag as often. We considered an X-type, but it was too small for us, and she wanted AWD, which eliminated the S or XJ. She ended up with an Audi A6, but it does lack the soul a Jag would.

Thanks for the welcome!

The "new" x-type was quite the find. Our old van was rear ended a few weeks back and we were looking for a replacement. The kids are mostly grown now, so a van wasn't really on the list. The wife always wanted a Jaguar, and I found a beautiful '04 X-type, one owner, garage kept with verified maintenance records from the local dealership. I bought it for a song- without the dance. It's a great car! Smooth, quiet, comfortable and for us, just the right size. It does need a headliner replacement, but that is easy to do come springtime. Otherwise, everything is well kept.

I am now wondering why it took me so long to think about getting one.
