Default greetings from sunny france

hi all, i've just joined this wonderful site. i've become the proud owner of a 11/94 xjr. i've been a jaguar fan for many years, but i lost the enthusiasm some time back, after my last two series iii v12's. i spent more time in the courtesy metro than in either jag! all seems well with this one though and i hope, with the help of this forum, to keep it on the road for some time to come.
there's not many jaguars around over here, prices are huge and parts and expertise are expensive and difficult to find. david manners and britparts being my suppliers for all parts i can't source from ebay. all work will be diy.
i'd appreciate any comments on my car's spec., as according to my research, they were never offered in this trim in '94. its black, cream leather, dark stained wood, swb, sunroof, darkened glass, 18" bbs alloys and has a twr rear window and jaguarsport badges on the boot-lid and on the (automatic) gear-change knob. harmon karden sound system, but the stereo is gone. also gone is the original grill, which was stolen 4yrs ago whilst the car was parked in london. previous owner says he didn't replace it as he couldn't find one the same. only mesh or vertical bars. i don't know of any other type, but i'll probably end up fitting a mesh one off ebay just to tidy it up. any one suggest what could have been there. a pic would help.

Welcome/Bienvennue, Bouzie. You will find some great help around here.
Nice to see another member over here, used to do a lot of Off Roading around Brive.

BTW, don't know what your French is like, but if you need a hand with something send me a PM.

Enjoy the roads.

The V-12s were enough to disillusion ANYONE from Jags. I got lucky with my 76, as someone had already swapped the V-12 for a Chevrolet 350.

Bon jour...Accueillir aux forums. Apprécier votre séjour. (I cheated and used an online translator...lol)

hi everyone. hot dry and sunny at the moment (for october) i'm a scot living and until last year working in france. i've been here 9 years, so my french is ok for most things. my other car's a 4.6 hse range rover. it doesn't see mud often enough.
i'm aware some of the features on my new xjr could have been added later. things like all the glass, the wood trim, sunroof etc make this seem unlikely. the bbs milan wheels are probably an addition, and any fool could have stuck jaguarsport badges on it. here are some pics. all comments welcome.

I'm a bad member! Shame on me. I vowed to get back to welcoming new members here but got so caught up in doing some research on your car that I forgot. Here's some things I found out. There were TWR cars, but all I could find is that they came with some ground effects and suspension tuning. Nothing else. Even if your car is just a regular XJR, it is a rare car anyway. The 6cyl supercharged XJR was only built from 95 model year to the 97 model year. It has the body designation of X306 and was part of the X300 body that ran from 95 to 97. They built around 2900 95 XJR's, the largest single year production, but still very low. It also has the unique designation as being the first supercharged Jaguar. So, welcome and enjoy that keeper!
