Hi ev1! I'm a new owner of a 2002 Jaguar X-type 2.5 standard. My son bought it for me for my birthday, otherwise I would still drive my old, rusty Saturn. This baby is a beautiful car, I'm just worried about repair cost and that's one of the reason that I'm sooo thrilled to become a member.

Welcome to the forum mboda. Wow! That's great. Enjoy your ride! And yes, like all fine automobiles, it will eventually need some tender loving care. Thankfully, there are plenty of great people on this forum that are willing to assist when needed. My purchase of a USED 99 xj8 went the reverse of yours, to my son to keep him out of the sport tuner/drifting market. I get to drive his when it needs fixed. Mine will come though, right after the wifes Land Rover (uugh).
