Default Hello..!!

Hello Everyone,
My name is Dave, I live in Cumbria (UK) and a few months ago I bought a 1991 XJ40 Sovereign 4.0.
My first, greatest and longest love are motorcycles (currently own three) followed by old Land Rovers - for the last twelve years my daily drive has been a 1974 series III Lightweight.

if i'd swapped to the Jag from a 'normal' car the Jag would have felt luxurious - coming from a series LR the Jag feels like a high speed bed..... it's brill - I love it..!!

Until it went wrong.....

.... but that's for a different post

You're very kind - it's great to be here.....

I shall add pics when I figure out how and update my 'signature' soon (having read the instructions (unusual for me) for new members I think I have to wait 3 days..??).

cheers, Dave.

Thank you everyone.

Yes - Landy to Jag is a big step.
When I open the bonnet on the Jag there's all sorts of things under there and I don't know what they are or what they do.....
I've gone from having a total of five fuses in the entire vehicle to what appears to be several thousand......

....and as for Relays -

I never used to have any but then ended up with three when I fitted a heated windscreen and uprated the Headlights (1 x relay for high beam, 1 x relay for low beam and 1 for the screen).

Thanks again and I hope I don't ask too many stupid questions.

Cheers, Dave
