New UK member
Hi forum members,.
A new UK member here, I recently found the forum and thought I'd better join it. I have two Jaguars, a 1964 3.8 S Type that I've owned for fourty three years and a 1972 4.2 XJ6 owned for the last thirty three years so no stranger to the marque.I've rebuilt both of them form near basket cases - it was all I could afford when I was a lot younger. Since then both cars have extensively toured Europe and North America with the CAAR GB classic car club.
I do all my own work on them except auto gearbox's which I consider a black art after two unsuccessful attempts to rebuild them. At the moment the XJ engine is sitting in my garage after a full strip down and the autobox is at the local transmission specialist, the S Type cylinder head is on the bench waiting to be fitted back after a head gasket leak last week on a trip to the Jaguar Ryton event, hopefully both will be back on the road soon.
