Default Hello

Hello. My name is Debi and I own a 2005 Jaguars type v8. I took the battery cables loose to replace lights inside. Put them back on and there's no crank nor start. Can I get someone to help me?

Hello, Debi,
Someone will be along shortly to direct you to the correct section where you can get help for that no-crank problem.
But you might want to tell us if your car is an S-type or an x-type. Might not matter which, but then again it might.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to teh Forums.

The S Type (X20) Tech Section will knoe.

BUT

Both mine, earlier than yours, require the car to be "locked and unlocked" when the cables are reattached. I keep the key/remote in my pocket, attach the cables, the car makes sounds, and things go "click". I press Lock, the car locks, then Unlock, the car unlocks and all is sweet in Jaguar world.

Same with the other later cars in the fleet.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Debi,

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change these, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the US Southern Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...rn-midwest-67/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

From one S-type owner to another... Welcome. The S-type forum is populated with a very friendly group and contains a wealth of knowledge.
