Hi everyone, just bought an 05 plate diesel S Type, taken me 51 years to get my dream motor and I love it!

Lots of questions to come including the Blue Tooth bit that doesn't work!!!

Bit about myself, worked in the RAF as an aircraft tech till 1995, carried on as a civvy in the aircraft business, then a brief 3 years working for Arrows GP as a gearbox tech.

Now a very sedate life as a boat safety examineer/delivery skipper.

Joined a canal based forum 8 years ago, and tbh the only forum I visit....until now! going to be fun being a newbie again!

Welcome to this friendly Forum Nigel. Is that the Keadby canal you're on ? Many happy and somewhat drunken memories of longboat trips when I was younger.

Gents thank you for the welcome, tried to put my location in but it doesn't like S****horpe... I wonder why lol, and yes Steve just down the road from Keadby however my boat is moored near Burton up Trent.

As for Scun thorpe?
I visited there and used to do business at the steel works. At one point I thought I had severe pc issues as I couldn't send emails, had serious problems. It turned out to be the word "Scun thorpe" that was causing it....lol
