Default Hello again

Hi, I've been on the Forum for years, but have apparently only posted a couple of times in replies. I'd like to express my gratitude to those who regularly post and give such great how-to's and especially those who take the time to help diagnose pesky problems and even devise solutions and post videos. I had been a bit intimidated by the complexity of my car, compared to the car I learned to do a little work on (a 1968 Mustang), but with the resource of this forum I've been able to tackle, so far, knock sensors, cleaning and replacing wheel sensors, washer lines, manual top conversion (still debating replacing the lines to put it back to as-stock), valve cover replacement, and attempts to get the emissions codes to set. The emissions codes drove me nuts, but now I'm on to the next hurdle, ABS / Trac / DSC faults, which I have been narrowing down as to cause and about which I may post soon if it doesn't resolve with my latest attempt (so far have cracked open the ABS module & soldered replaced sensors and one line, etc.). My car is a 2001 XK8 with a little over 100k miles, and still gets compliments from random strangers. If not for this forum, I probably would have had to give up on keeping the car on the road as my daily driver. I hope I can contribute a least a little to the knowledge base as my experiences continue.
Carry on, talk with you soon! WestCoastCat

Welcome to the forum WestCoastCat,

No need for any links from me to help you navigate the forums.

Good to hear you have found useful information here and that you run your XK8 as a daily driver.

Graham
