Lightbulb Hello Again, JF!

I have parted with my '95 XJ6 2 years ago after 1 year ownership. It was a high mileage car that needed body work but was cheap and gave me what I needed to appreciate the Jaguar. It ended up needing more $ than I wanted to spend on a car that needed body work so I decided to sell and get another later down the road.

Happy to say I found another x300 after a few months of intermittent looking. It's a '95 XJR that is located 90 minutes away but was well worth the drive last night. Body is in near mint condition which is rare considering the use of Salt on the roads here during the winter.

The private seller seemed genuine, and not like a stereotypical used car salesman. Talked with him more this afternoon letting him know I want the car. He ended up offering to drive the car to my house 90 mins away (following behind me) after mentioning I'd likely hire a tow truck.

Took a few pics while I was there. Nice colour, not sure what it's called even after looking at the chart I found here in one of the stickies but I'll know in a few days when it's in posession :-)
I'll update my signature when the deal is done.Hello Again, JF!-95xjr.jpg

Welcome back to the forum Shaune,

Good to have you with us.
Congratulations on the new car, I guess you can find your way around on your own.
She looks good in the pic.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome back to the forum Shaune,

This one doesn't look as if it needs bodywork. Once you get it home, look for the Jaguar label on the door post with the three letter Paint Code to find the right colour name.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Exclamation

Ok, so we brought the car back to my house a few hours ago. The guy's wife had tears in her eyes after telling me to "take care of her" while getting into their car to leave. Apparently it hadn't been driven since before Winter with the exception of a few maintenance runs during the Spring (worse thing to do is let a Jag sit I've been told) since they bought a newer Corvette so it was nice for it to get a good run (90 mins @ 80 km/h)

I took a pic of the door decal showing the paint code. The colour apparently is Ice Blue Pearl Metallic (MDP) although to look at just the colour coding chart in the X300/XJR section, you'd think it was the Seafrost (MDV) Neighbour came over right away with compliments & questions, that didn't take long lol.

Only had an hour afterwards to get ready and go to work so I couldn't play around too much but I do have some questions for the above mentioned forums section which I'll post to shortly. I took a few more pics, this time at my house that I'll post, too.

The codes on the label are:

PAINT Code MDP = Ice Blue ( a metallic available from 1994 )
TRIM Code LFJ = Nimbus

Weekend coming up - time to play.
