Default Hello from Alaska

Howdy all;

Honestly I was looking for a '60s 912. I have drooled over E-types since the first time I saw one but honestly I was a tad intimidated by the motors. They may be reliable but when they stop being so the price can be quite shocking.

To make a long story short; as I am hunting down a 912 I came upon a barn find Series II. That one was mighty tempting, but the condition made it unrealistic. Nevertheless that led me to also search for E-Types and as luck would have it I found the perfect specimen in California. Paint is a mess, engine is a 302 short block, interior needs refreshing but the leader/vinyl can be restored, and the whole thing was priced accordingly. It has virtually no rust.

Looking forward to chat and participate on my road to turn this scruffy car into a daily driver.

Boy Howdy have you got a car!
Be aware, however, that *Some* E-type owners will be highly offended that your car no longer has a V-12.
But the pragmatists among us understand Perfectly the reality of the situation.
Congratulations on your new Project Car.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum devnull,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the E-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Good luck with your project and enjoy the forums.
