Default Hello All

Hello All, I'm a first-time poster, but long-time reader on the forum. Based in SE England, and work in London.

My daily driver is a 2005 S-type, 2.5 v6, and touch wood, everything seems OK with that at the moment.

My project car is a 1997 4.0 XJ that has been sitting on my parent's drive for 7 years without moving.

I've been reading lots of really useful stuff on the X308 threads, but I've got to the stage now where I'll need to start asking some questions myself.

Looking forward to chatting to you all.

Welcome to the forums MJSS,

I see you have already posted in X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. I suspect that seven year old petrol is unlikely to spark without the assistance of Semtex (that phrase should set the alarm bells ringing at GCHQ). A filter disconnect would allow an easy way of draining the old rubbish and determining if there is any fuel flow between tank and header rail.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Good luck with your project and enjoy the forums.

Graham
