Default Hello all!

Hi my name is David, live in Kelowna BC Canada and just purchased my first Jaguar (Jag-you-are!) a 2003 XK8 convertible (drop top) in Silver with grey hide and a black top.

I'm originally from Luton England, anyone who has been there will understand why I moved. My only other experience with a Jag product was driving my uncles Daimler Sovereign in London back in the eighties.

Picked up my car, yet to be named, three weeks ago and have been enjoying her very much so far. Changed air filter and have sent her into the shop to replace hydraulic roof hoses because of a leak, one hose had chaffed just above diagnostic port. Hopefully I get her back tomorrow, the sun is out in full force and looks like it will be an awesome summer. Have to replace brakes though

So once again, hello to all the other Jaguar Enthusiasts. I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and mostly picking your guys/girls brains in order to keep my cat purring!

David

Welcome to the forum.

Good to have you with us.

Don't think Luton is such a bad place, even Ford named a van after it.

Isn't there an airport in Luton?

Thank you for the welcome and Jim thank you for "opening the door" to the full forum! Hopefully have Kitty back from shop today, front brake job next and then I'll have a go at the passenger seat head rest. Just took a look at the TSB for that job and I think I can tackle it ok. Still getting accustomed to navigating the site, can anyone direct me to the brake job section please? Fairly simple procedure I'm sure, I really would like the torque specs for calliper pins and wheel lug nuts!

Thanks again folks!

David

Welcome David,

So the 'sun is out in full force and looks like it will be an awesome summer'. Can't imagine why you left Luton.
