Hello All
Hi All
Glad to be here. I have a 1996 XK8 convertible which I got 5 years ago. It’s always great to drive and puts a smile on my chops. Brought it because I wanted a convertible with a decent amount of boot-space for commuting around with bits, and many convertibles seem to have almost no boot space. I also needed a least 4 seats for the rest of family (or was that to justify it to the wife!), although as the kids are getting older its becoming a squeeze in the back (shame there is not a stretched XK8, another 6” back foot well space would make a real difference ).
It’s done just over 150,000 miles. Had a few problems water-pump, front suspension bushes, cats, oxy sensors, exhaust pipes, RHS front window motor stopped, just had the control arm bushes done. It’s a day to day car, not pristine, but getting some rust bubbles that need sorting soon.
Regards
John

Thanks for the welcome guys. I suppose as the kids get older (as they are) it turns into a 3 seater with the "bogey seat" behind the front passenger seat. The XK8 seems a lot better room wise in the back compared with others, looked at an Audi TT today which seems to have no rear foot room - maybe the seats were fully back?
Cheers
