Well after YEARS of being a mercedes follower (15) to be exact I finally have another cat to add to the stable.

Previously I have had a 1993 jaguar xj6, a 1986 jaguar xj-sc cabriolet (miss that car really badly) and a 1989 xjs convertible.

So wish me luck on the 1996 Black cherry vanden plas I purchased yesterday.

She needs a little work on the crank pully and I am going to refinish the lovely cream vdp interior (just the front seats and drivers door card.

I will post pics and start asking question soon. Been reading like a fiend on this site before I took the plunge.

Thanks to all of the members who posted in the past that I was able to take the advise they posted.
