I just joined a few days ago. I have a 2003 XK8 silver, convertible with about 75,000 miles. I've had my Jag about 10 years and have owned a few others in the past. I recently bought a red Cadillac XLR for my wife. I own a few other cars and am truly a "car guy". Today I plan to start a head gasket R&R on the XK8. Long story short, blew hose, overheated, misfire on 5 and 7, low compression on 7. I've read post on this procedure and have learned a lot. Well, hello from Dan in the mountains of Southern Calif.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
