Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself here. This board is great! Great job! About me, I'm in the market for an S-Type R. It would be my first Jaguar, but I'm not to worried about the maintenance, as I've spent a good bit of time on a race team. So, hopefully, my experience with Jaguar's reputed, "hot and cold" reliability would just cost me the parts. But we'll see. But I was surprised at how many people on here get their hands dirty! I was expecting the Jag crowd to be the type of people who don't know how to open the hood! I really don't mean that offensively - you know, like the impression i get with Aston owners or something. Well, you know high class owners aren't who I'd expect to be "blue collar" mechanics. You know? Um... I'm digging a hole aren't I... My point is that I'm excited to learn more about these cars from you knowledgeable folks!

I hope you will be enjoying your Jag . Asfor the maintenance , don't think it would make you upset post Ford Jaguars are pretty reliable aside from some '98-00 V8 engines w/ nikasil issue .
