Hello from California & looking for my first XK 150
Hi everyone, glad to have found such a friendly forum with helpful and knowledgeable folks! I'm located in Southern California.
I used to own a lovely manual BMW Z3 back in college and since then have had a few "modern" Bore-1000 boxes with 4 wheels. Returning my Lexus lease in a couple months and have settled on replacing it with a 2010+ XK convertible! Depending on what I can find, I may have to settle for pre-'10, but we'll see. I've already found helpful posts here outlining things to look for, questions to ask, getting the CPO-style PPI from a Jag dealer, etc.
Couple Jag market questions for you guys:
Thanks and looking forward to being a new member!

Couple Jag market questions for you guys:
- Besides the regular used car sites, are there any special sources you guys know of where I can find a relatively low mileage 2010+ XK?
- I've only recently started looking, but pricing seems to be all over the place, with the norm looking like ~$25k for '10+ and ~$18k for pre-'10 in something other than silver, black, or white with <60k miles. This pricing seems high to me based on some posts I've read here. Is this in-line with fair market value, or prices have risen due to COVID?
Thanks and looking forward to being a new member!
Welcome to the Forums.
Used Jaguars can be fickle at best. Prices here are up, and numbers for sale are down, maybe Covid, maybe not.
Service records that are SPOT ON are more important than price. A neglected late model Jag is a potential money it, and each market will dictate the depth of that pit.
Good luck.

It's X150 for the 2006 - 2014 two door models. XK 150 is the designation of a much earlier two door model produced from 1957 to 1961.

Hello,
In answer to your first question, Cars are where you find them. Some of the best deals are found in those impromptu used car lots by the side of the road. Some are parked on the street with a For Sale sign in the window. In fact, that's how I found my latest, Trucklet.
One thing I have to keep reminding myself though, there's Always a reason someone is selling a car; maybe more than one reason and it could be only a down payment to bring it home.

Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome. What a great community!
Got it, thanks for the tip. Will make sure I look for comprehensive service records in my search.
Thanks for the guidance, Graham. Noted on the difference between X150 and XK 150. Wish I had the dough for an XK 150!

Thanks, ElinorB, appreciate the insight.
