Hello from California - Member Intro Post
Hello All,
My name is Mike, and I'm a Jagaholic.
Just kidding, but any car I own for more than 2 years becomes a family member to me.
We do own a few actual cats, but the only four wheeled one is a 1995 Jaguar XJ6 4 liter with about 165,000 miles on it.
Some time ago I bought my father's Honda Accord because it was a 'too good to pass up, family deal' and the Jag had been slowly chipping away simply due to age.
My plans were to drive the Honda while I slowly fix up the XJ6 until it was in good enough shape to make a few bucks, but as I'm nearing my original plan's completion I have the feeling it will be harder to part ways than I thought.
I have already been a member here for quite some time and have found this site to be unbelievably helpful. I wish I could be more active and help out those that have had to do some of the same repairs that I have - If you have a 1995 XJ6 then there's a good chance I've either fixed the problem or am just going to live with it.
Currently, I am fixing the paint job that has crackled very badly out here in the sun and have fashioned a strip of wood to hold up the sagging headliner - I just need a few more coats of stain, then some lacquer to match the trim of the old girl.
I hope I didn't violate a 'TLDR' policy for first time posts, advanced apologies if this was the case.
Cheers,
Mike
