Smile Hello to everyone !!!!

This is Vic...an owner of a 2002 X-Type.... and a very happy owner

Will have had the car for 10 years now (in the next 2 months)... have 255K miles on the car and am very pleased with the car. Seems like the best auto purchase I have made in my life-time. Except for regular services...I have had very little extra work to do on the car.... so am pleasantly surprised and pleased as a ??

Would love to hear from other owners who have had similar experiences... especially considering Jag's historic reputation for significant mechanical issues

I look forward to hearing some of the stories of the forum members and look forward to meeting some of you!

Merry Christmas!

Thanks Richard,

Do hope to learn a lot more from this forum... and yes, am also hoping to get the car to cross 500K miles. You know anyone, any web-site... which is keeping track of mileage claims... the highest I have seen is 2.x?? for a volvo owner... as such am curious... about some of the claims for a Jag

Well I know that we have a few of our Aussie members with some mega miles and also some high XJ6/XJ40s.

For other cars, I believe that MB also had a thing about million mile cars with original engines. 240D etc. Could be wrong though.

Best thing to do is to start your own thread in the X Type section.

welcome aboard, good to have you with us here at JF
There really are some amazing and friendly guys here....you're in really good company to discuss anything Jag related or have a few laughs!

The X type is a rreally good car, had one myself and loved it!
As far as mileage goes, I'm not 100% sure but there was an X type ( around 3-4 yrs old iirc ) a few years ago that covered around 400k miles in that time and still ran perfectly well, with regular servicing.

A really great mix of information, camraderrie and fun

I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can better view the site.........
so now jump on in and enjoy, all the best.
