Hello fellow Jaguar Owners
Hi everyone, my name is Thom I am from Phoenix, Az. and am very happy to finally be a part of this forum.. Jaguar has always been my true dream car. Fell in love with them the first time I ever rode in one, when I was 15 years old.. Now being 55 I've had to wait 40 years before finally being able to purchase one.. I found a great 1987 XJ6 with only 43,000 miles on it.. The car has been stored in a garage for the last 10 yrs and unfortunately rats got up under hood and chewed almost all the wires on the motor and front fenders.. It was also stored without being properly serviced for being stored... gas left in tanks... So both tanks had large amounts of debris in them.. I have enough knowledge to know that I had to totally flush the entire fuel system prior to attempting to start it. which I did.. My problem today is that I totally love this car and don't want to do anything to damage it anymore than it may already be, so I'm looking for some guidance as to how I should go about getting this car back up and running. I also have a problem with fuel lines and there routing, the rats chewed all the fuel lines as well and I'm having trouble finding any type of diagram that would show me in detail the correct routing and connections said fuel system..
So I turn to you my fellow Jaguar owners for some guidance and suggestions that will help me get this long awaited dream of mine on the road again.

Welcome to the Forums.
That will keep you from getting bored for about 12 months/
Lots of info in the XJ6/12 Series 1,2,3 Tech Section.
Systematic plan, A MUST, and ONE wire at a time, worked for me on many of these projects over way too many years.
Good luck.
