Default Jaguar X Type cooling fun module failure

The original cooling fun control module on my jaguar x type 2004 model got burnt inside and i asked my mechanic to replace with a second hand one from the scrap yard. Surprisingly it couldn't work. I later tried another one which works on a similar vehicle but it can not work on mine. Connecting the funds directly on the battery, they work. What could be the problem

I'm assuming you mean FAN module.
Members in our X-type section will certainly be able to help you with that.
Someone will be along shortly to direct you there.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums Muzunga,

I've copied your question to X-Type forum for advice from members with the same model. Here's the direct link to it:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ailure-271527/

I also changed the title from cooling FUN module to cooling FAN module.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.
