Default Hello Gents

Hi all,

New guy here. In North Carolina with a beautiful 2003 STR. In Ebony with Champagne interior. I previously owned a 2003 STR in Midnight Pearl with charcoal interior and I do miss that color combo, however the contrast of jet black on tan interior is equally beautiful in a different way. And no one does leather like Jaguar. Gotta love that smell everytime you get in.

I'm super happy to be back at the reigns of my girl. All quirks and intermittent faults aside, I love these vehicles with real passion and appreciation for the over quality. True quality as we know is hard to find these days.

According to the gentleman I bought the car from, I'm a "true j-gate" guy because I do like to row the gears in manual. I do so with care and consideration so please no judgments.

I would like to reach out to a few of the experts here as I have followed the forum at a distance the past several years until recently getting back in the saddle of my STR. Would love to begin some mods by ordering a caldoofy intake pipe (carbon fiber if available) and overall get you guys' guidance on most sensible and meaningful mods. Yes I want the list s/c whine I can get and secondly I would love to open the exaust with all the burrbles and pops I can get (if this isn't considered too ricey for anyone).

I'm thankful for the add here and look forward to many years and miles along side my fellow JAG enthusiasts.

Cheers,

Welcome to the forums STRingent,

Good to have you with us. Black with Ivory trim is a superb combination. I had that on an X308 but must confess I didn't keep the paint quite so gleaming as yours!

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

To be absolutely certain, check the code on the manufacturer label on the door pillar:
