Hey y'all! Aric in Hillsborough, NC.
Actually I'm originally from Detroit. Relocated to NC in 2008 along with about another 10% of the Michigan population.
Recently bought a 2000 XK8 convertible with 65,000 miles. Flew to San Antonio TX to pick it up. Drove back through New Orleans, then up for a Clemson game, then back to Hillsborough. Love the car!
1200 miles and surprisingly uneventful ride as far as the car went. Only one engine fault (emissions) which appeared to be fixed with a half can of seafoam.
However not so good since we've been back. The car will drive fine, and we will park it. Overnight it will go into "Low Brake Fluid / ASC Not Available / Gearbox Fault / Failsafe Engine Mode" on its own. It has done this once on the freeway, but it usually just happens on its own. I put in a new battery, and plan on checking connections tonight. I have a hard time believing it is a TB issue, since it does it when it is not being driven. Hate the car!
Anyway, I will work on it tonight, and I expect to be starting a new thread in the appropriate forum tomorrow.
