Default Hello from Indiana.

I suppose you can call me a new member, been on here since 2012, but never made a post. It was a longtime overdue, I suppose. I own a 2002 X-Type. Bought the car in 2012. A friend of mine owns a used car lot, and one day when I was out there trying to find a car for my son, the Jag just kind of jumped out at me. Since I was looking for a different type of car for my son, I put the Jag in the back of my mind. Long story made short, I found a car for my son on my friend's lot, made a deal to trade my Explorer in for my son's car (Jeep Cherokee) and the Jag.
I knew the Jag had some issues, but my friend and I worked through them and got the car running 100%. It had 125,000 miles on the clock when I purchased it and a little over 145,000 miles to date. Generally, it has been a very good car for me, some hiccups here and there, but I've always been able to work through them. I had one recently with the engine RPMs, and have posted that problem in the proper forum. I've received some good advice and will continue to work through that issue. The Jag is my daily driver, and in the winter, I really appreciate the X-Type's AWD.

As for me, my main hobby is collecting classic (and some not so classic) Japanese motorcycles. Another hobby is buying and refurbishing vintage stereo equipment, circa 1970's.

I've been lurking here for a couple of years, but the latest problem has given me reason to post and introduce myself. I hope to be around for awhile.

Welcome to the forum jehumbert,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Cats do that, ya know. They hide behind things and POUNCE as you walk by.
But they only do that to people they LIKE!!

Welcome, finally, to the forum, from ElinorB.

Thanks for the welcomes. I've been wandering through the "How to" thread and downloads, seems to be a good amount of info. to wade through. Need to get the RPM issue fixed, before I wander too far....

I'll also check out the regional section, must have missed that one.
