Default Hello from middle of nowhere Nevada

Hi Everyone.
Thank you for all the great information you all post on this forum. I just recently purchased a 1997 XK8 convertible and am looking forward to repairing a few things on it and enjoying an incredibly classy beautiful car. I have owned several British cars in the past but this is my first Jaguar. The wheels aren't really my style but have brand new tires so I may run them for a while anyway.

You are correct, Ely is even more middle of nowhere than Elko but at least they are 200 miles closer to Vegas.

Welcome to the forum Kevin,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It's not exactly the middle of nowhere - there's buildings on the horizon in the photo!

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thank You. I plan to replace the head gaskets, take care of other maintenance and minor repairs then drive it. I may replace the wheels with something a little smaller but will wait on that. I already have it in my shop. just need to get an XKR coupe to go with it lol.

welcome kevin. I must put in my vote for middle of nowhere. Its 75 miles straight north of Ely. I-15 at the Idaho Utah border is a close second.......
