Hello from Minneapolis
Have driven and loved a 2007 Mercedes C280 for the last 5 years. I drove a Jaguar XF awd last August and was smitten. Plan to buy a new car in April. Its between a new XF (to rare to find a nicely used car in my preferred color) or a nice low mileage 2014 or 2013 Mercedes C300 for like $30k less. I will haunt the XF forum to see what user experiences have been. Is Jaguar shedding its problems of the past? Would plan to keep it at least 10 years and maintain it at the dealer. I think Jaguars are the most beautiful cars being made today and that counts for a lot.

Welcome to the forum finalcar,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Jaguar's poor reputation from the 70's still persists and is one of the main reasons for low used values. However, regular maintenance is critical and a full service history is essential to avoid a lemon. Dealer maintenance and repairs is the most costly option and not necessarily the best. A good independent marque specialist can often be better for long term ownership.
Follow this link XF and XFR ( X250 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XF/XFR forum for help, advice and information.
