Hello,
I just recently purchased a 2002 XK8 Coupe. The car seems to be in very good condition. I am located in Cincinnati, OH. Does anyone know of a good independent mechanic / shop in the area with Jaguar expertise or specialty?

Welcome to the forum... since you got an xk8, I suppose we can't be too rough on ya...volvo...

volvo 1800 and jaguar xk connection

thanks for the welcome. I have had a volvo 1800 for past 20 yrs and finally stepped up to a jag.
There was a british tv show called the saint, starting roger moore in the 60's. When they were starting up the show they wanted a sleek sports car for the saint to drive. They first went to jaguar and asked if they would be interested in place the relative new xke in the show. Jaguar said no based on limited production and high demand. They then went to volvo and inquired about the 1800. Volvo ended up providing 2 or 3 cars for the show.
How things have changed, companies now pay millons to get their products placed in tv show and movies.
There now you have it the connection between volvo 1800 and jaguar xke.

Thanks, I am stilling trying to get access to some of the info / documenet listed in other threads. Is there something I need to do as new memeber to get access?

I used to love watching that series and the return of the saint years later too....all good stuff in its day!
