Hello - newbie from North West England
Hi everyone,
A new Jaguar owner here. I have a lovely V12 Series 3 which the previous owner re-sprayed in Sebring Red. I wasn't sold on the colour when I bought it, but having followed it when I let my brother have a drive, I now love it.
Only had it less than two months but so far:
First week had brake failure - new master cylinder seals fixed that
The steering was lumpy and stiff - ceased lower steering column - new part and fixed
This week it wont start - new fuel filter and pump ordered. We'll see.
But hey I knew what I was signing up for. And what better way to get to know a car! And it also meant I found this great site and yesterday I trawled the classic section looking to see how I can fix it and found some really good info.
So i look forward to contributing. Hopefully one day it will be giving advice and not looking for help

Welcome to the forum Doobs,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Under rated for many years, the XJS V12 is a superb car once any minor issues are resolved although keeping the tank filled can be painful!
Follow this link XJS ( X27 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

That's an even rarer beast.
I only had one XJ12 and that was a Series I in the days before the HE. Couldn't get more than 8 mpg out of it!
