Hello from the Philippines
Hi to all, I am Irwin of the Philippines. I am currently working in an independent repair shop as an automotive electrician, but I also do some mechanical work from time to time. I have worked on different models of vehicles which are mainly Japanese models, and from time to time a few European models as well (BMW, Mini, Land Rover, MB). Recently a Jag has come into the shop and I would like to learn about this type of vehicle so I joined up in the hopes that I may learn from the real Jag specialists.

Welcome to the forum Irwin,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
You'll have to give more details on model as several Jaguars were badged as 'Sovereign' so i can't give you a link to the right tech section.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Irwin,
WELCOME to the real world.
A VERY GOOD friend of the wife and I, has a BLACK 1990 XJ-S Monster in Manila. We have rebuilt it by emails and 4 phone calls over the last 5 years.
It is now back in one piece, and he is driving it sometimes. It has "hotter than liked" running issues, and he is NOT mechanically minded in ANY way at all, so he has done a magnificent job in my opinion. His Jag guys have by-passed the heater (not needed in Manila), and got something screwed up, but he simply cannot get his head around it at the moment. I told him to drink moew and calm down, HAHA.
He is patiently waiting for us to come over to see the wifes family, and me fix the Beast for him. Some serious alcohol consumption is going to take place, trust me.
Ask away, I dont bite, nor does anyone else I know of on here.
Just make sure you give the car details as complete as you can, that way you get the answers right straight off.
