Good evening from Virginia. Starting off I have to say thank you to this forum. Over my years of Jaguar ownership this forum has been my go to for almost every problem I have ever had. So thank you to all the members who have helped me without even knowing. You all have been lifesavers. I currently have two jags a 2000 Vanden Plas Supercharged black on black and a 2011 XJL Supersport also black on black. There is just something great about a black jag to me lol. In the immortal words of Jeremy Clarkson, it's a jaaaag. They're expensive to maintain and can be temperamental at times but there's nothing like them out there.
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. I had a black X308 like yours. Great car apart from black needs washing twice as often as any other colour!

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Especially as you have TWO BLACK ONES!! (Black is my Favorite!)
However, and you may agree, if ALL Jaguars were BLACK, ours wouldn't stand out in the crowd as they do!
