Hey there! New XJ owner

Just stopping in to introduce myself. I just bought a 1997 Jaguar XJ6 today with only 45000 MILES! I stole it for super cheap too! Its in great shape... Hope to learn a lot about these cars here! Im an Audi nut, so bear with me

Ive owned a couple Audis, and some other European cars (Volvos, Saab, and BMW) Talk to you all on here! Thanks

Thanks bro. I love the car so far, aside from it sucking gas AND having to put premium petrol in it... wish I could just put the cheap stuff in! HAHA

Anytime ! In fact, you should get 22-25 MPG or 10-12 liter on the highway unless you're dead footed .If so, it's a gas sucker as well lol

I hope so because with the gas prices, and i read the car REQUIRES Premium fuel (3.18 a gal) its like 60 to fill BLAH

Do you know your car has a knock sensor ? If you have it you can still use regular . However w/ premium it runs much better

Looks like a great car you got there.
Re the fuel.............you wanna try UK prices ....We just hit Â£1.03 a litre........thats about $10 US[&:][&:][&:]

Hey Cory, welcome pal. To make it easier on yourself for the gas prices, just think of our Brittish friends that pay about $10 per gallon...

. I know I do it every other week when I have to pump gas. Beautiful ride, and very clean. Hope you enjoy the forum and hope to see you around.

Thanks guys! This is my first British car. Ive owned Audis, BMWs, Saab, and Volvo... but never something like this... a much different engineering all together. So far, I like it!

Looks like a VDP to me. I used to own a 96 VDP - loved it! As I'm sure you've already figured out, that car excels from 80-110 mph....quiet, smooth, fierce. Enjoy the ride man!
