Hi to everyone in this forum,,, My name is, Tony Dockery, originally from Ireland, but I’ve lived in Australia now since 1970. I’m based in Queensland, single but have three absolutely beautiful children (well maybe not children anymore) they are all married & have children of their own. I was born in Dublin, way back in September 1943, So that’s only about six weeks until my 75th birthday, and believe it or not, I didn’t feel this old until my Jaguar Xtype, 2003, two litre engine, stopped on me while driving home one day about 6 weeks ago. I had it towed home & it’s still sitting in my driveway ever since. I’m retired, and many, many years ago, I was a mechanic, but the cars I worked on, never had computers. We had SU carburettors, and it was a time when, the Mini was the fashion item of the day, with it’s transverse engine. But, those were the days, and now I need all the assistance I can get from everyone on this site. In closing, I wish to thank you all for both your help and patience in dealing with an old bloke from Down Under ...

I know you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. If you want to change it, go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
