Default Hi from Australia

Hi, This is me introducing myself.
I have recently purchased a 2009 X-Type 2.2 diesel with 139,000kms, and have used this forum to search out some answers already.
So thanks for making and keeping this resource.
Hopefully I won't need your collective expertise, but looking at the repair and servicing bills since 2016 that the previous owner passed on ($13,000.00 AUD) a lot of money could have been saved.
Apart from the key fob remotes, every thing else seems to be working.

Cheers Ian

Welcome to the forum Ian,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found the relevant model forum but if not, follow this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Australia - Victoria/Tasmania Region forum by following this link

Hello, Ian,
Some friends and I were talking the other day, about how so many people are simply not able to fix their own cars, have to pay someone else to do it, and at some point, when it's been in the shop more than at home, decide they cam't afford to keep it anymore and get rid of it. It sounds like your car may be a good example of that.

But now that you've found your way here, that will change.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
