Default Hi from downunder

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and forums altogether. I love my Jags and just want to keep in the loop of all things Jaguar. I thought this seemed like the place to do so.

My wife and I own and run a hobbie business called Jagspares & Repairs in Wellington New Zealand. I'm not here for sales or marketing, I just want to be able to help where I can and visa versa.

Any questions just ask and I will be happy to help when I can.

Cheers
Ray

Default Xjr manual

Hi thanks for the warm welcome into this forum.

Just abit on my XJR' A friend of mine shipped it over from Japan in 2006 as a left hand drive. It is saphire blue with red pin stripping and warm charcoal interior. He changed it to right hand drive with parts sorced by myself. It had done 68000 K/M. I purchased the car in 2008 and started collecting what I needed to do the 5 speed manual conversion.

I started the conversion early 2012 it took about 4 weeks, having one or two problems throught the way. After that i fitted a K&N pod behind the left hand head light. All is going well. I then removed all cats and fitted my own exhaust using 1991 XJ40 4litre down pipe and fitting in my original oxygen sensors.

i then fitted a revised crank sensor bracket which gave me heaps more power. But I now have starting problems and stalling at lights. I think I need my ECU remapping.... any thoughts!

Cheers Ray

Welcome Ray,

Thats where our ute ended up, mmmmm.

We had one here at the dealership, when I was a LOT younger. When the place closed it sort of disappeared. It was that "Dove Grey" from memory.

Good to have you onboard.

Enjoy our company.
