Default Hi to everyone from Australia!

Hi all, new here from Australia.
Thought it was about time I joined as i'v been lurking and absorbing info over the last couple weeks (I have the infamous "popping" intake issue)

I bought myself an '03 X-type 2.1 a few months ago for stupid cheap but it also came with many issues.

but back to topic, I look forward to picking many brains and asking what everyone has asked a thousand times over already while I learn to navigate the forum and find my way around these x400's
I am a Qualified mechanic here in Aus but did my time working in a classic hot rod shop and most of my vehicles consist of 90's Japanese cars, i'v never laid hands on a Jag until now and some of nuances are quite the learning curve LOL.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new X-type Jaguar!
Jags are not as scary as one often hears. All cars operate on basically the same principles, it's just that sometimes Jaguar went about it in, um. Unusual ways. But as you're an experienced mechanic, you'll get the hang of it soon.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
