Default Hi Guys...new member from Shenandoah Valley (Virginia)

Glad to join this Jag Forum, and a quick shout-out to any fellow Jag enthusiasts in Shenandoah Valley VA! Am sure this topic has been totally exhausted before (excuse me), so please direct me to the proper historical thread. I don't use the radio, CD or Nav at all in my '05 STR - I use my cellphone for those functions. Would like to know how/if my stock Alpine head unit can be augmented with a 3.5mm Audio-In/Aux? Is there an adapter cable I can plug in? If not, has anyone successfully replaced the stock stereo with a tablet? If so, which shop? Otherwise my only other alternative is to yank the unit and go aftermarket. BTW, called Alpine's United Radio Service and they were no help at all. Thanks in advance guys/gals.
