New to this forum, just over from the other one, this one is much livelier... ;-)

About me: Location - Boston MA, USA

Car: '05 X-Type, Emerald Green, 3.0 auto AWD, in-dash NAV-unit, ~61K miles. Acquired 9/08 when a friend's lease expired. Paid ~$21K USD with Jaguar Select coverage. Have put about 30K miles on it since I acquired it.

Repairs: right front wheel bearing at ~40K miles; transfer case at ~60K miles; both under warranty. Warranty expiring soon considering Jaguar Extra-Mile, but cost is high (~$2.2K USD), the time is short (24 mo), and the coverage is meager (only "lubricated parts" are covered).

Prior cars: 1968 Austin Healey Sprite, 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible, 1972 Saab 99, 1974 Saab 99, 1979 VW Scirocco, 1981 VW Scirocco, 1981 Chevy Citation X-11 4spd, 1981 Chevy Citation X-11 auto, 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T (with the Lotus-engineered 16V intercooled turbo... :-), 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante, and... a 2005 X-Type.

Lots of car and motorcycle wrenching in the past, not so much now... :-(
