Default Hi, I am New To Jaguar Ownership

Regards, just bought an '86 XJ-6 from an estate. My second British car: can bankruptcy be far away??
I need to know some basics so I hope to learn a lot here.

Welcome aboard.

An '86 would be a "Series III". Great cars.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum Wascastor,

A 1986 could be an XJ6 Series III

Hi, I am New To Jaguar Ownership-xj-series-iii.jpg

or an XJ40

Hi, I am New To Jaguar Ownership-xj40_1.jpg

Both were produced in that year and both badged as XJ6.

Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the Series 111 section or this one XJ40 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ40 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Southern MidWest Region section by following this link Southern MidWest - AR LA MS KY TN AL - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Yes, Welcome to the forum!

Naw, bankruptcy will only occur if you actually drive it.

Owning a Jaguar shouldn't hurt too much. Driving one can get a bit expensive.

But you're in the right place to save thousands, should something happen to give you a problem with your new car!

Happy Motoring!
