Default Hi from Isaac

Thanks Thermo and hobbs

After reading the new member's rules I realized that I was a little rude not introducing myself. I live in Phoenix Arizona and I work in Marketing, my understanding of cars is very little let alone luxory vehicles since my last ride was a 97 Pontiac GTP. I replaced many parts on that one but I am a complete newb as far as audio and electronic components goes.

I purchased my Jaguar one and a half month ago and I completely love my 2004 3.0 X Type with 63,000 miles I love the way it handles compared to BMW's or other brands and its 'umph' too.

As far as that Molex connector I bet it was used to maybe power an amplifier or like CD changer. Do you guys think I can use that connector to connect some sort of aftermarket auxiliary cord that I can plug into my phone to play music via my car stereo? Or would I need to follow the cable under the carpet all the way to behind the entertainment system on the dashboard to figure that out?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Norri.

For the life of me I cannot find where to add a signature to my posts. Do you have a link for a walkthrough?

Thanks

Yes indeedy!

Go to the top of the page and click on "user cp" at the left of the black bar then look down the "your control panel" list at the left of the page until you see "edit signature" under "settings and options" then your good, don't forget to save when you are finished.
The changes won't show up until you make a new post after saving.

Welcome to the forum Isaac,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.
