Default "HI" from Myrtle Beach S.C.

Just bought and having fun in my 07 S-Type. I retired from IBEW LU 196 after 43 years and moved to where I don't have to shovel snow anymore.
I'm looking foward to getting with the guys on the forums to learn more about these wheels.
Another thing I like doing especially around here is metal detecting on the beaches. There all kind of surprises to be found out there and with gold over $1,300 an ounce I hope I find alot of it.....

Welcome Dmax,

Good luck with the beachcombing, I hope you find more than empty beer cans.

Probably won't find many beer cans. I am always amazed at how clean the beaches are (NMB area anyways) considering the number of humans there are visiting them on any given day.

Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your retirement.

I keep saying I must get a metal detector, mind you the beaches around me tend to yield more than gold

Welcome to the forum Dmax. I trust you also carry a set of golf clubs around in your trunk. What a great area to live if you like to golf! Spent three one week periods in your fair city playing some of the nicest courses in the country. Enjoy the forum, your retirement, and your new ride.

The best time to find the good stuff is during tourist season and later in the day after they head in for dinner. I have one water detector thats good for 200 ft but I only hunt about chest high. Thats where most rings and jewelery are lost. It great exercise for a retired guy.On the golfing I tried but was a lousy Golfer so thats when I got into MDing. I figured I've saved a bunch of money from lost ***** and in turn made a few bucks on selling the rings I find, that is the ones my wife doesn't want.
